Accessories that suit your character

By checking  your character you can tell if  a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle is suitable for you.

Choosing the right motorcycle accessories is as important. as choosing the right motorcycle.

Motorcycle Apparel

While taking into consideration how much you will spend on your bike add to this amount almost the same again for apparel and a good helmet.  - The cost of good apparel can cost nearly as much as the bike itself.  Whatever you do, do not think that you are going to save money buy not purchasing the correct clothing, jacket, gloves, boots and of course a helmet , this could be a life or death decision.

Make sure that the jacket and helmet fit you well - you can check in the internet or magazines or local stockists for what clothing is best for you.

Motorcycle boots

Motorcyle boots are an essential accessory for your protection, from children riding in the backyard on a toy bike or yourself on the wide open road. Again the type of boots you need depends on the type of riding that you do - the most important

factor is the right type and the right size - they must not be too big or too small as they are for protection and not a fashion statement.

Leather Driving Gloves

Gloves are also as important for your safety and protection as the clothing boots and helmet. - Gloves protect your hands from a hot steering wheel and also the cold of the winter air.  Motorcycle leather gloves have ventilation for the summer sun as well.

Gloves come in many stypes and colours that are suitable for men and women alike.

Below is a short list of some of the most popular gloves.

  • Hand sewn leather driving gloves
  • Whip-stitched leather driving gloves
  • Deer skin with snap leather driving gloves
  • Deer skin with velcro leather driving gloves
  • Shorty driving leather driving gloves

Trousers

Trousers are not as essential as the other clothing and a good pair of thick jeans can do a good job, however jeans should be well fitted and .not baggy but not tight enough to cut of the blood supply

Road Protection

By far the best possible protection is the padded leather jackets, trousers and suits.  You dont intend to crash and go bouncing along the road, however it is very possible that this could happen to you - the injuries may not be life threating but the beleive me you will be much better off after falling if you were well protected, jeans are ok - but dont think you will be able to wear them after a crash.

Rain Protection
It is Obvious that you need rain protection, you must make sure that the waterproof garments that you are wearing are also fire resistant, when purchasing waterproof gear make sure you buy a size big enough to put over .your clothes so they will keep you warm and safe as well as dry

Saddle Bags

The size of the saddle bag you need is entirely for your own comfort, when purchasing a saddle bag take into consideration what  you need to put in it and how long a distance you intend to go.

Below you can see various accessories that are used with motorcycles.

The use of Goggles when riding a motorcycle.

Goggles can be used for many reasons but the most important by far is protection against the sun, wind and the cold.  Not forgetting of course protection against any foreign objects such as small stones or such flying into your eyes. Click here for larger image and colour selection

There are many types of goggles some can be worn straight on the eyes and others are fitted over your own glasses or sunglasses.

A suitable Helmet for Harley-Davidson motorcycle

The main feature of the helmet is to absorb impact energy by using advanced materials and padding. When riding a motorcycle you can be injured by accident. At  a speed of 20mph you can die if you fall  on your head. Motorcycle helmets are made to absorb the energy and impact in this situation with the purpose of keeping you

alive and safe bat you mast have A suitable Helmet for Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

"Mrs. Robinson" Based on the performance by Simon & Garfunkle
"Harley Davidson" Parody by Diva & Wild Man
verse 1

We'd like share a bit about you
after biking all those miles
We'd like to help you learn
so re-belt your self
Look around you and see
The Classic Electra Gildes
Strap on some boots
and we'll do more than bring you home.

And here's to you Harley Davidson
Please us even more than you could know
( wo wo wo )
You test, you tease Harley Davidson
Heaven has a place for those who play
( hey hey hey )
( hey hey hey )

verse 2

Ride it in a hiding place
where no one ever goes
Take it to the country or a clam bake
It's a little secret
of many we can share
But most of all you can go hide without the kids

So here's to you Harley Davidson
Please us even more than you could know
( wo wo wo )
100 years Harley Davidson
Generations have a place to play
( hey hey hey )
( hey hey hey )

verse 3

Sitting on a Sportster
on a Sunday afternoon
Riding out for a great escape
Laugh about the Fat Boy
then go enjoy a brew
Everywhere you look
here are 60's Chicks and Dudes

Where have you gone "Yo The Daddy-O'
a nation turns the tables on the blues
( woo woo woo )
What's that you say Harley Davidson
mid-life blues have up and gone away
( hey hey hey )
( hey hey hey )
